About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Mitsui Chemicals is leading a pilot project to demonstrate ammonia as the primary fuel for naphtha crackers at its Osaka ethylene plant, replacing methane-based fuel to reduce combustion-related CO2 emissions. The 10-year project (FY2021–FY2030) includes development of ammonia burners and test furnaces with NEDO funding and partners. Evidence: "The goal of the pilot project is to switch naphtha crackers from running on conventional methane-based fuel to one in which ammonia is the principal component." — https://jp.mitsuichemicals.com/en/release/2022/2022_0218/index.htm
