Chunghwa Telecom installed a solar photovoltaic system at its Banqiao Internet Data Center (IDC) for self-generation of renewable electricity. The system produced 72,372 kWh in 2024, with associated Taiwan Renewable Energy Certificates (T-RECs) obtained. This supports the company's renewable energy utilization and Scope 2 emission reductions in its data center operations.
