About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The Baowu Steel Blast Furnace H2 project is a direct reduced iron (DRI) production facility located at Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron & Steel in Guangdong Province, China. Production commenced in February 2024 using Energiron technology, blending natural gas, coke-oven gas, and hydrogen to achieve up to 96% metallization and produce 1 million tons per year of high-quality DRI pellets. This initiative represents a significant step towards greener steelmaking by incorporating hydrogen to lower carbon emissions compared to traditional methods.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
