About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

BVES, a wholly owned subsidiary of American States Water Company, received CPUC approval in December 2025 to construct and operate a 5 MW AC / 6.1 MW DC photovoltaic solar generation facility on approximately 21 acres in Big Bear, California, and a 5 MW / 20 MWh battery storage system at the Meadow Substation. The projects will provide clean, local energy for BVES customers, support renewable portfolio standard compliance, and reduce reliance on external power purchases. Evidence: "BVES is a wholly owned electric utility subsidiary of American States Water Company (NYSE: AWR)." — https://www.bvesinc.com/assets/documents/efficiency-and-environment/bves-battery-storage-and-solar-energy-press-release-111924.pdf
