About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Marubeni subsidiary PT Tanjungenim Lestari Pulp and Paper (TEL) operates a pulp mill in South Sumatra, Indonesia, using biomass-fueled boilers for self-power generation. The project evaluates capturing CO2 from these boilers for injection and storage in nearby aquifers operated by Pertamina group, aiming for operations by 2030 to achieve negative emissions at the facility. Evidence: "The Study will evaluate the feasibility of implementing BECCS by capturing CO2 emitted from biomass-fueled boilers for self-power generation at the pulp mill operated by PT. Tanjungenim Lestari Pulp and Paper (hereinafter, “TEL”), a Marubeni subsidiary in Indonesia." — https://www.marubeni.com/en/news/2024/info/00038.html
