About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
PCA commissioned and operated a pilot-scale carbon capture plant capturing biogenic CO2 from flue gas at one of its southern U.S. mills using an amine-based solvent system. The modular pilot unit was assembled onsite and operated from October 2024 through mid-2025 in collaboration with CO280 Solutions to test CCS technology for potential scaling. Evidence: "During 2024, we successfully commissioned and operated a Carbon Capture pilot scale plant capturing biogenic CO2 at one of our southern U.S. mills... Following a feasibility study, we launched a pilot trial at one of our southern U.S. mills using flue gas from a biogenic boiler." — https://www.packagingcorp.com/filebin/pdf/ResponsibilityReports/PCA_2024_Responsibility_Report.pdf
