About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

International Paper is investing $103 million to build and operate two natural gas power boilers at its Cedar River containerboard mill in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to generate on-site steam and replace coal-based steam from the local utility. The project will reduce the mill's Scope 1 and 2 emissions by approximately 25% and is expected to be commissioned by the end of 2025. Evidence: "In 2023, we broke ground on a $103 million project to build and operate two natural-gas power boilers that will generate steam for our containerboard mill in Cedar Rapids, Iowa." — https://www.internationalpaper.com/sites/default/files/file/2024-05/2023%20International%20Paper%20Sustainability%20Report.pdf
