About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The CNNC HTGR P2G project employs High-Temperature Gas-cooled Reactor (HTGR) technology for Power-to-Gas (P2G) to produce green hydrogen aimed at decarbonizing the iron and steel sector by partially replacing injected coal in blast furnaces. Developed in collaboration with Tsinghua University and Baosteel, the pilot demonstration achieved a hydrogen production capacity of 100 NL/h and has successfully completed its experiments. Future plans include scaling to a 600 MW HTGR system capable of producing 50,000 Nm³/h of hydrogen, with additional developments in hydrogen transportation, storage, and fuel cell applications by 2030.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
