About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Danube Removals is a full chain Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) operation in Central Hungary, collecting more than 500,000 tonnes of biogenic CO2 per year from Pannonia Bio biorefinery's fermentation and anaerobic digestion processes. The CO2 is transported via pipeline and permanently stored onshore in a saline aquifer of the Pannonian Basin, generating EU-certified carbon removal credits for voluntary markets. The project demonstrates the first large-scale bioCCS integration in Europe with low costs and high scalability potential.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
