About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

DTE Gas is executing an accelerated pipeline replacement program replacing legacy cast iron and steel mains with polyethylene pipes and relocating meters outdoors across its Michigan distribution system. This directly abates methane leaks in DTE's own natural gas operations and value chain. Evidence: "DTE Energy will reduce methane emissions from its natural gas utility operations by more than 80 percent by 2040... by replacing steel and cast iron pipelines at a more accelerated pace than recommended by the Environmental Protection Agency." — https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/dte-energy-cutting-methane-emissions-by-80-percent-300720672.html
