About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
MercadoLibre has integrated more than 2,000 electric vehicles into its delivery fleet across Latin America to reduce direct Scope 1 emissions from its own logistics operations. The initiative was supported by a $400 million sustainable bond issued in 2021 and saw a fourfold fleet expansion in 2023, with operations in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, and Colombia. This constitutes insetting as the company directly controls and operates the fleet to lower its internal transportation emissions. Evidence: "For years, Mercado Libre has been working to reduce its carbon footprint through various strategies, notably including the integration of electric vehicles into its transportation fleet, which now includes more than 2,000 units across Latin America." — https://latamobility.com/en/mercado-libre-operates-in-brazil-mexico-chile-and-colombia-with-electric-vehicles
