Anglo American formed JV Envusa Energy with EDF Renewables to develop and supply renewable energy (including 140 MW Umsobomvu Wind, 140 MW Hartebeesthoek Wind, and 240 MW Mooi Plaats Solar) to its South African operations under the Regional Renewable Energy Ecosystem (RREE). Project finance completed in 2024 for these contracted renewables to reduce Scope 2 emissions.
