About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

JR East operates the EV-E301 series catenary and battery hybrid trains on the Karasuyama Line since 2014, replacing diesel multiple units on non-electrified sections to cut emissions in its own rail operations. Evidence: "In March 2014, a two-car JR East catenary and battery hybrid tram (EV-E301 series) entered revenue-earning service on a 32.1 km route of which 21.4 km (Karasuyama line) is not electrified." — https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FV-E991_series

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
