About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The FELIX project, led by Bormioli Rocco SAU, aims to decarbonize perfumery glass production in Azuqueca, Spain, by fully electrifying the existing natural gas-fired furnace, creating the largest electric furnace in the beauty glass sector. It also builds post-consumer recycling silos to enhance circularity and reduce feedstock needs, including critical raw materials. The initiative targets 56% relative GHG emission avoidance and is projected to prevent 119,000 metric tons of CO2e over its first ten years of operation.<grok:render type="render_inline_citation"><argument name="citation_id">0</argument></grok:render><grok:render type="render_inline_citation"><argument name="citation_id">2</argument></grok:render>
