Ford commissioned a solar power plant at its Almussafes manufacturing plant in Valencia, Spain. Initial 2.8 MW capacity produces nearly 4,641 MWh annually, with expansions planned to 5 MW and then 10 MW. The project uses non-productive land at the facility to generate renewable electricity for operations.
