About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Ford installed a 13.5 MW solar carport at its Silverton Assembly Plant in Pretoria, South Africa, providing parking for over 3,500 vehicles. Completed in 2022, it supplies 18% of the electricity needed to produce Rangers and contributes to on-site renewable power generation for manufacturing operations. Evidence: "At the Silverton Plant in South Africa, 18% of their power – enough to make 20,800 new Rangers per year – comes from the sun." — https://www.fromtheroad.ford.com/us/en/articles/2024/how-ford-factories-are-using-carparks-to-generate-power

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
