About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

GAIA is Europe's first industrial-scale ammonia plant based entirely on renewable hydrogen and power, located in Avilés, Asturias, Spain. It will produce around 180,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually using innovative technologies including a 12 MW SOEC electrolyser, flexible Haber-Bosch process, and air separation units. The project avoids approximately 2.8 million tonnes of CO2e over its first ten years, contributing to decarbonization of fertilizer production and the European Green Deal.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
