About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
PSE&G's multi-phase GSMP replaces leak-prone cast iron and unprotected steel gas mains and services in its distribution system to reduce methane emissions. Phases include GSMP II Extension and proposed GSMP III, with ongoing replacements reducing Scope 1 emissions from operations. Evidence: "In keeping with its continued efforts to improve reliability and reduce methane emissions, the program’s replacement of old gas mains is estimated to reduce CO2e emissions by more than 145,000 metric tons." — https://nj.pseg.com/newsroom/newsrelease340
