About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The GREENH2LAROBLA project aims to commission a 280 MW electrolyser plant in La Robla, Spain, on the site of a former coal-fired power plant, producing up to 40,200 tonnes of renewable hydrogen annually powered by solar PV and PPAs. The hydrogen will support industrial decarbonization via the national hydrogen backbone, avoiding up to 430,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions per year compared to fossil-based production.<grok:render type="render_inline_citation"><argument name="citation_id">32</argument></grok:render><grok:render type="render_inline_citation"><argument name="citation_id">21</argument></grok:render> It contributes to the EU's energy transition and just transition goals by creating jobs and economic value in the region.
