Shin-Etsu Chemical participates in Gunma Prefecture's 'Local production for local consumption type PPA (Gunma model)' to procure hydroelectric power for the Yokonodaira Plant at its Gunma Complex. This green electricity covers all power used at the plant, reducing its greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 90%.
