About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Saint-Gobain’s Hybrid Furnace Project (HFP) implements and validates the first hybrid glass wool furnace receiving 50% of its heating power from electricity boosting, combined with oxygen-enriched combustion. Deployed at the Saint-Gobain Isover plant in Etten-Leur, Netherlands, it achieves a 22% reduction in GHG emissions, 50-55% cut in natural gas use, and 26% decrease in energy consumption, avoiding approximately 100,000 tonnes CO2e over the first 10 years of operation. The project supports EU climate targets and offers replication potential across Saint-Gobain's European glass wool plants.<grok:render type="render_inline_citation"><argument name="citation_id">25</argument></grok:render><grok:render type="render_inline_citation"><argument name="citation_id">15</argument></grok:render>
