About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

At Komatsu's Ibaraki Plant in Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, a biomass gas power generator using local wood chips began operation in February 2022, alongside existing solar panels and small wind turbines. This on-site renewable generation supports decarbonization of manufacturing operations toward carbon neutrality by 2050. Evidence: "And in February 2022, a brand-new biomass gas power generator went into operation. ... The goal is to reduce CO2 emissions by 141 tons per year through the biomass gas power generation." — https://www.komatsu.jp/en/aboutus/brandcommunication/stories/biomass
