DS Smith deployed two new solar installations in Portugal in 2023/24 alongside a 50,000 MWh renewable electricity power purchase agreement (PPA) for Iberia. Additional feasibility studies and a broader solar roll-out programme (targeting over 100 sites) are underway to further reduce Scope 2 emissions from purchased electricity.
