About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Unilever Oleochemicals Indonesia (UOI) transitioned from natural gas to biomethane produced from palm oil mill effluent at its North Sumatra facility. Partnership with KIS Group sources biomethane from sustainable mills in the supply chain, targeting nearly a quarter of the site's energy needs by 2030. Evidence: "In the first commercial offtake of biomethane in Indonesia, Unilever has started replacing the natural gas we have been using at UOI with biomethane, created from palm oil effluent from local mills." — https://www.unilever.com/news/news-search/2025/using-biomethane-from-palm-oil-waste-to-fuel-sustainable-growth/
