About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Jinjie Company (subsidiary of China Shenhua Energy) is developing a large-scale CCUS demonstration project at its coal-fired power plant in Shenmu City, Yulin, Shaanxi Province. The project targets capture of at least 4 million tonnes of CO2 annually from a 600 MW unit, with utilization pathways including geological storage, mineralization, EOR, and low-carbon methanol production. It received EIA approval in 2025 as a national key energy conservation and carbon reduction project. Evidence: "Recently, the Environmental Impact Assessment(EIA) report for Jinjie Company’s 4 Million Tonne/Year CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage) demonstration project was officially approved by the Yulin Municipal Ecological and Environment Bureau" — http://www.csec.com/zgshwwEn/kjcx/202508/80a3f56257cf488796ab55ddf07a3816.shtml
