About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Envusa Energy (Anglo American JV with EDF Renewables) developed the 520 MW Koruson 2 cluster comprising 240 MW Mooi Plaats solar and two 140 MW wind farms in South Africa. It reached financial close in Q1 2024, became operational in 2026, and wheels power including 11 MW to Kumba's Kolomela mine, reducing Scope 2 emissions. Evidence: "The K2 cluster reached financial close in the first quarter of 2024, with construction well under way. 11 MW of the output of K2 is to be wheeled through the grid to Kumba’s Kolomela mine. This is due to come online in 2026, and is expected to reduce that site’s Scope 2 emissions by around 85%." — https://www.angloamerican.com/~/media/Files/A/Anglo-American-Group-v9/PLC/investors/annual-reporting/2025/sustainability-related-disclosure-supplement-2025.pdf
