About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The Lake Charles Methanol project, developed by Lake Charles Clean Energy LLC as an affiliate of Leucadia Energy LLC, aimed to produce low-carbon methanol and hydrogen from petroleum coke through gasification, incorporating carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technology with physical adsorption. It was intended to capture approximately 4 million metric tons of CO2 equivalent per year for enhanced oil recovery. The project reached the feasibility stage but was ultimately cancelled in 2014 due to economic challenges.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
