About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
GAR operates biogas facilities that capture methane from palm oil mill effluent (POME) at its mills, converting it into renewable energy to power operations and reduce Scope 1 GHG emissions. This includes seven existing plants across Central Kalimantan, Jambi, and Riau, plus three new plants commissioned in 2025. Evidence: "GAR has commissioned three new methane capture plants at its mills in 2025, targeting annual CO₂e reductions of 150,000 tonnes from its Scope 1 emissions." — https://www.goldenagri.com.sg/gar-continues-record-breaking-financial-results-run-with-nine-month-revenue-high/
