About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The Nauticol Blue Methanol facility in Grande Prairie, Alberta, was planned to produce 3 million tonnes per year of net-zero blue methanol using innovative methane pyrolysis technology. The project incorporated advanced carbon capture and storage to sequester up to 1 million tonnes of CO2 annually, aiming to support the transition to low-carbon fuels. It was expected to create over 5,000 construction jobs and 1,260 permanent positions but was ultimately cancelled in 2023 due to funding challenges.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
