About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

HENSOLDT Optronics is constructing a new plant in Oberkochen, Germany, incorporating an advanced energy concept with on-site photovoltaic systems and geothermal probes as heat pumps to cover heating, cooling, and electricity needs from renewable sources. The design aims for 70% of electricity from own renewables initially, scaling to 100% long-term, supporting the company's CO2 neutrality target by 2035 through insetting in own operations. Evidence: "With the help of an innovative and sustainable energy concept, 70 percent of the electricity required in the new plant will be covered by the company's own renewable sources. This share is to increase to 100 per cent in the long term. The total energy demand (heating, cooling, electricity) will be covered by regenerative sources, but mainly by geothermal probes working as heat pumps and photovoltaic systems." — https://www.hensoldt.net/news/hensoldt-optronics-builds-new-plant-in-oberkochen
