About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

KAO Corporation SAU (subsidiary of Kao Corporation) partnered with ENGIE to construct and operate a biomass boiler plant at its chemical facility in Olesa de Montserrat, Barcelona, Spain. The plant uses certified forest biomass for self-consumption steam generation and started operation in December 2024, replacing natural gas use. Evidence: "ENGIE Spain and Kao Corporation SAU have signed an agreement for the construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance for 15 years of a new thermal power generation plant from biomass from certified forest waste... The new facility, powered by certified forest biomass, will reduce emissions from the KAO plant in Olesa de Montserrat, Barcelona by 95%" — https://www.kao.com/global/en/newsroom/news/release/2023/20230714-001/
