Kao signed an agreement to purchase a majority of the capacity from Future Origins' first manufacturing plant for C12/C14 fatty alcohol (NALO), a palm oil alternative produced via industrial biotechnology. This low-carbon feedstock supports decarbonization across Kao's chemical business and consumer products value chain.
