IndianOil operates a 100 KLPD 2G ethanol plant at Panipat Refinery using paddy straw as feedstock. The plant produces ethanol for blending in motor spirit, displacing fossil fuels in the transport value chain and avoiding emissions from stubble burning. Commercial production commenced in November 2023. Evidence: "Under this scheme, the 2G commercial Ethanol Plant set up by Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) at Panipat (Haryana) commenced commercial production on 11.11.2023. ...
