About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Peoples Natural Gas, a subsidiary of Essential Utilities, partnered with H Quest and the University of Pittsburgh to pilot microwave pyrolysis technology that converts natural gas into zero-emission hydrogen. The pilot at the McKeesport, PA training facility tests hydrogen production, blending with natural gas, pipeline impacts, leak detection, and end-use appliances in a closed-loop system to support decarbonization of gas operations.
