About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
SIPEF is installing methane capture facilities at all its palm oil mills by 2030 to reduce GHG emissions from POME. By end of 2025, five mills were equipped with facilities (some using biogas for electricity generation), with additional installations and upgrades ongoing in 2026. This directly cuts Scope 1 emissions in SIPEF's milling operations. Evidence: "Methane capture equipment will be installed in all SIPEF palm oil mills by 2030. ... One of our mills also captures methane from POME and uses a biogas generator to produce electricity." — https://www.sipef.com/hq/sustainability/best-management-practices/
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
