Methane capture technology installed at PT Kimia Tirta Utama (PT KTU) palm oil mill in Siak, Riau, Indonesia, to capture methane from POME and convert it to biogas for use as boiler fuel in mill operations. This is the third such facility in Riau for Astra Agro subsidiaries, reducing Scope 1 emissions from wastewater treatment.
