About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
DCM Shriram sources up to 50 MW (initially 40.4 MW) of wind-solar hybrid renewable power via SPV with ReNew Power under a 25-year group captive arrangement for its chlor-alkali chemicals plant in Bharuch, Gujarat. This replaces grid or captive coal power, reducing Scope 2 emissions in own operations. Sourcing commenced in 2023 with full capacity contributing to ~35% non-fossil energy mix. Evidence: "DCM Shriram has signed a CPA for a period of 25 years. ... successfully started sourcing upto 40.4 MW of renewable energy (wind-solar hybrid) from its special purpose vehicle (SPV) setup with ReNew Power Limited" — https://www.chinimandi.com/dcm-shriram-signs-agreement-with-renew-power-to-source-50-mw-renewable-energy/
