About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
CN scaled use of renewable fuels (biodiesel and renewable diesel) to represent close to 10% of locomotive fuel consumption across its North American network in 2024, with trials of up to 100% blends in partnership with fuel suppliers. This directly reduces Scope 1 emissions from rail operations as part of its SBTi-approved targets. Evidence: "In 2024, renewable fuels represented close to 10% of all fuel used in our locomotives across CN's North American network. A first for our company." — https://www.cn.ca/en/stories/20250617-reaching-renewable-fuel-2024-cn-locomotive-fleet/
