About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Asahi Kasei is renovating multiple existing hydroelectric power plants in the Kyushu region (Nobeoka area) that supply electricity directly to its manufacturing operations. The projects are financed via green bonds issued in 2020 and 2023, with specific renovations including the Suigasaki plant (18 MW capacity, completed 1950) and others such as Gokasegawa. This decarbonizes the company's own Scope 2 emissions through on-site renewable hydro power. Evidence: "Asahi Kasei has decided to implement a large-scale renovation of the Suigasaki Hydroelectric Plant, completed in 1950 with a capacity of 18,000 kW." — https://www.asahi-kasei.com/news/2015-2021/2021/e210831
