About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Hapag-Lloyd partnered with Seaspan to convert five 10,100 TEU container ships from conventional engines to dual-fuel methanol propulsion. The first vessel, Seaspan Yangtze, completed retrofit in 2026 as part of the SAVER CleanBlue program. Evidence: "Each conversion can reduce CO2e emissions by approximately 30.000 - 50.000 metric tons per vessel per year when operating on low-carbon methanol." — https://www.hapag-lloyd.com/en/company/press/releases/2026/05/hapag-lloyd-and-seaspan-complete-first-methanol-retrofit.html
