About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
ConocoPhillips advanced early-stage engineering for a carbon capture system targeting boiler flue gas at its Surmont oil sands asset in Canada. The project evaluates on-site CCS to reduce Scope 1 emissions and supports participation in the broader Pathways Alliance regional CO2 transport and storage network. Evidence: "In our Canada BU, the Surmont CCS initiative progressed through the completion of early stage engineering as part of an ongoing evaluation of carbon capture opportunities. Work to date has focused on technical evaluations of a potential capture system for boiler flue gas." — https://www.conocophillips.com/sustainability/low-carbon-technologies/low-carbon-opportunities/
