About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

Consumers Energy owns and operates a biodigester facility at Swisslane Farms in Kent County, Michigan, converting dairy manure into renewable natural gas (RNG) injected into its natural gas distribution system. The project captures methane from agricultural waste to reduce emissions in the company's gas operations and value chain, with production capacity sufficient to heat nearly 1,000 homes annually. It supports the company's net-zero methane goal by 2030. Evidence: "Consumers Energy today announced an agreement with Swisslane Farms to build a biodigester facility that will convert agricultural waste into clean, renewable natural gas, or RNG. ... The $17 million project, which requires regulatory approval, could start production in late 2023." — https://www.consumersenergy.com/news-releases/news-release-details/2021/12/15/17/41/consumers-energy-and-swisslane-farms-partner-to-deliver-renewable-fuel-for-michigan
