About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
Dole's Uniplumo Wyestown Nursery in Ireland transitioned from diesel kerosene and LPG to a biomass heating system fueled by 100% renewable sustainably-sourced woodchip from a local farm. The system provides energy security and supports greenhouse operations for plant production. This fuel switching project cuts Scope 1 emissions in Dole's own operations. Evidence: "In autumn 2023, our Uniplumo Wyestown Nursery transitioned away from diesel kerosene and liquefied petroleum to a 1.4 kilowatt (kW) biomass heating system. The biomass system will be fueled by a 100% renewable blend of sustainably-sourced woodchip from a local farm." — https://www.dole.com/sites/default/files/2025-07/Dole%20Sustainability%20Report%202023.pdf
