Virginia Natural Gas and Chattanooga Gas (Southern Company Gas subsidiaries) entered into and expanded RNG purchase agreements to acquire environmental attributes from RNG facilities, avoiding an estimated 18,978 metric tons of CO₂e annually as part of efforts to incorporate low-carbon fuels in gas operations and value chain.
