About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

LG Chem is constructing a biomass power plant at its Yeosu Hwachi Plant in partnership with GS EPS to generate steam and electricity from waste wood, replacing coal-fired generation for on-site use. The project supports direct Scope 1 and 2 emission reductions at LG Chem's own petrochemical operations. Evidence: "LG Chem and GS EPS will establish the biomass power plant called “Yeosu Green Power” by investing a total of 320 billion KRW at the LG Chem Hwachi Plant in Yeosu with the goal of beginning operations by the first half of 2026. ... reducing carbon emissions by 400,000 tons annually." — https://www.lgcorp.com/media/release/25701
