About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

TAQA, through its subsidiary TRANSCO, developed and operates a sub-sea transmission network to supply onshore grid power to ADNOC's offshore facilities, replacing gas turbine generators. The $3.8 billion project reduces ADNOC's offshore carbon footprint by more than 30% and supports TAQA's decarbonization of power supply in its value chain. Evidence: "The development is expected to reduce the carbon footprint of ADNOC’s offshore operations by more than 30%, replacing existing offshore gas turbine generators with more sustainable power sources available on the Abu Dhabi onshore power network, operated by TAQA’s wholly owned subsidiary, Abu Dhabi Transmission and Despatch Company (TRANSCO)." — https://adnoc.ae/en/news-and-media/press-releases/2022/adnoc-and-taqa-close-landmark-clean-energy-and-decarbonization-transaction
