The Arun CCS project aims to utilize the depleted Arun gas field as an open access regional storage hub in Aceh province, Indonesia. Preliminary studies indicate a total storage capacity exceeding 1 GtCO2 for sequestration over the project lifetime. Carbon Aceh has formed a joint venture with the Government of Aceh to develop this CCS hub.
