About this project
The description is as the source gives it.
The OLYMPUS project aims to transform the Milaki cement plant in Evia, Greece, into a net-zero carbon facility using innovative OxyCalciner and Cryocap technologies to capture over 900,000 tonnes of CO2 annually, which will be liquefied and shipped to the Prinos offshore storage site. It targets 95% GHG emission avoidance relative to the reference scenario, with absolute avoidance of 6.8 million tonnes CO2e over the first ten years. The project supports EU decarbonization goals, creates jobs, and establishes a CCS knowledge hub.
Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
