About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

FENECON's CarBatteryReFactory is a new assembly plant in Iggensbach, Germany, dedicated to the serial production of industrial energy storage systems using complete second-life electric vehicle batteries. This innovative full-pack technology eliminates the need for dismantling and rebuilding, significantly reducing the carbon footprint and enabling scalable, cost-effective reuse before final recycling. The facility, operational since 2024, produces systems with capacities up to 1.288 MWh and aims to lead the European market in sustainable second-life battery storage.<grok:render type="render_inline_citation"><argument name="citation_id">80</argument></grok:render><grok:render type="render_inline_citation"><argument name="citation_id">70</argument></grok:render>
