About this project

The description is as the source gives it.

The Baosteel Zhanjiang DRI plant in Guangdong Province, China, commenced production in January 2024 using advanced Energiron technology. It has a capacity of 1 million tons per year of direct reduced iron (DRI) with up to 96% metallization, achieved through blending natural gas, coke-oven gas, and high levels of electrolytic hydrogen. This operational facility significantly reduces CO2 emissions via hydrogen utilization and built-in CO2 capture capabilities, promoting greener steel production.

Statuses, countries and reductions are as the public source states them, and may be out of date.
